"Next-generation Electro-Optic Material Platform"

The market opportunities for these new materials are expected to be similarly revolutionary. Near the close of 2006, Lightwave Logic demonstrated the efficiency and stability of its next –generation material platform. One of our next generation molecules was independently verified to be approximately 700% better than competitive molecular designs. Subsequently thermal stability was demonstrated in our core material base of approximately 350 degrees C, well above the 300 degrees C necessary for vertical integration into semiconductor manufacturing processes. Following these breakthrough innovations, Lightwave has partnered with the preeminent polymer waveguide manufacturer in the world, Photon-X, in order to produce key products in specific military and civilian telecommunication markets.
We are currently working with other parties to introduce modulators into products for niche military markets. The engineering involved in the production and manufacturing of these initial products overlaps with our primary objective, the emerging ultra broadband (40Gb/s and 100Gb/s) modulator markets. |
